Wearing Cobalt and Red!
So I’ve had this dress for nigh on a decade and quite frankly I see no reason not to keep on wearing it – it’s a good fit and I love the bright and beautiful colours.
It doesn’t mean though that I don’t want to change up the styling …
1. Add some cute accessories
It’s spring here in Australia, although you wouldn’t have known it with how cold and windy it was on the day I wore this dress, which is why the pics are in my kitchen …
I feel the colours in this dress and it’s A-line shape gives it a versatility to take it through from spring all the way through winter.
I went for a cobalt infinity scarf, along with my red cat’s eye sunnies to edge up the look a bit.
2. Chuck On A Leather Jacket!
I love my leather jackets and I’ve accumulated quite a few over the years.
Ever since Marlon Brando and James Dean, a leather jacket has been associated with a bit of a walk on the wild side so adding one to a pretty dress definitely edges the scene up a tad!
With this detailed print dress I kept it simple with a relatively plain, cropped, black zip-front leather jacket.
3. Interesting Hose and/or Shoes!
I really think interesting hose or tights is underrated.
Fishnet stockings or tights have the edgy/sexy factor as well as being quite warm and yet cool in warmer weather – go figure!!
I considered wearing my red booties but as it’s spring I opted for my red mary-janes … apparently such shoes are a no-no if you’re over 40, so in that case it’s pretty edgy to wear them?
As a Science Fiction fan I’ve been enjoying watching the 1990’s “X-Files” from the beginning – they bring back memories of good times… let me know what you’ve been up to in the comments and I hope you’re all keeping well and happy!
Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web!
