1. Blend light with slightly darker – For the Love of Camel or is it Caramel??
I love vibrant and bright colours.
With seeing the lovely Laurie of ‘Vanity and Me’ wearing her elegant neutral outfits so beautifully, it inspired me to give them a try!
I’m finding that as we experience early spring here, these warm and subtle colours work to lift the spirits towards longer, warmer days, as well as performing double duty of keeping me warm and cosy – although not too hot.
TIA Symptoms, Test Results and Alternative Therapies…
I’ve had my first session of acupuncture and have started on some Chinese herbs boiled to make a hideous tasting tea morning and night and already I’m seeing a reduction in my blood pressure and an improvement in the paralysis of my face so it seems to be working for me – at least so far, so good!
The results of the test have confirmed the diagnosis as a situation that arose from too much stress and anxiety leading to high blood pressure blah, blah, blah … so I’m taking steps where I can to really look after myself and work through a whole lot of stuff. I’m actually grateful for this wake up call as it’s changed my attitude with a lot of things and placing my needs ahead of others – all things can be used as a teachable moment.
I’m also grateful to live here in Australia where our Medicare system has paid for my CAT scan and Carotid artery ultrasound – we are so lucky to have such a good health system.
How nice are these neutral, camel, cream and caramel tones?
2. Add some Cosy along with some Cool…
I’m very enamoured with the paper-bag style and these pants are so comfy, light and cute, along with this cosy, although fairly light weight oversized jumper. The 20 year old suede jacket provided some real warmth, if needed – especially with keeping the chilly wind out! And I love to mix old with new in my attempts to be sustainable.
3. Keep the Accessories Pretty and Light!
I couldn’t resist adding tortoiseshell earrings, sunnies, ( because it’s always glary and/or sunny here in Australia), animal print bracelet, brass robot necklace and snakeskin print shoes to make an outfit with a bit of oomph!!
Where we are here in Australia we experience fairly mild autumns and winters and this same outfit could be styled for cooler weather by exchanging the shoes for booties, adding a beret or cute hat and some gloves to keep the hands warm …
A bright slash of lipstick added some extra oomph and we were off to enjoy the day!
Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web and stay safe and take nothing for granted as we power through the remains of one helluva of a year!!
