When Only Eclectic Will Do!
My style is all over the place.
When it comes to dresses I like full or fitted, feminine or edgy, chic or tizzy! I refuse to be locked in to one look or another!
All frivolity aside, I hope that wherever you are, you are safe and well from the strictures of the COVID-19 virus – there has been so much hardship caused for so many!!
I’m starting with a business look which I wore for a conference call earlier this week. I realise that they can’t see me properly on my device, but I still like to feel like I’m put together when I have to talk business, so I opted for this tartan print sleeveless dress with a white shirt underneath, black tights, booties and hair up.
I always felt confident and stylish in such dresses and how I feel in my clothing is very important to me.
These type of modest bodycon dresses were my basic uniform when I was working, but I’ve only kept a few favourites and given the rest away to my daughter in law as they just no longer serve me.
Sweet Birdy Dress for Lunch at Home…
As we are no longer to go out for things other than the basics we’ve been making the effort to dress for lunch or dinner dates at home and this dress with the sweet teal bird print was perfect for an autumn lunch!
As much as I like my bodycon dresses for the right occasion, I just love the puffy skirt of one of my retro dresses with the full petticoat underneath!! It always feels so feminine and sexy – just have to be careful not to knock things as you brush past!!
But You Can’t Beat Red!!💋
You know it – and I know it … whenever I put on red people really love it!!
This was my Easter Sunday outfit …
This is an A-line dress, another one I’ve had for going on ten years so I decided to add a black tulle skirt under it and tie the skirt at the side.
I really love the sweetheart neckline and the red accessories in the booties, earrings, sunnies, fishnets and shrug. See below for another way I’ve worn this dress:
It’s good to experiment with clothes and fashion and see what you think works and what doesn’t.
I’ve continued to get my reiki, chakra balance and crystal healing but my healer, Tina has been doing it remotely – from 25 kilometres away! Yet still it works to help with relieving the pain associated with the lymphodoema in my left arm as well as with the emotional stuff I’ve been going through coming out of cancer and a complicated work situation. It really is a truly remarkable thing!!
I’ve also been taking a few pics around the place that I thought I would include.
Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web and I hope you stay safe and well!!
