Print On Black…
I always find prints with a black background to be versatile and elegant.
This dress from Australian fashion company, Review is a perfect example of something that is sweet and pretty but still fine for winter.
Here I have styled it for autumn in sunny Australia where the temperatures are still in the 20°C range.
I love the small floral print and retro style.
It’s kind of a hybrid 1960s/1970s look and I love it.
Feeling It Right!!
I love the movement of this pretty dress as it’s a soft satin lined georgette and the length is ideal for a sweet day dress.
The neckline is a pretty wide v with a little frill around it.
Loose, but small cuffed sleeves, complete the look.
It’s a dress that fits nicely over the hips, giving it plenty of movement.
Pops of Pretty Colour!!
The different pops of colour in the floral print of the dress allows for lots of different pairings.
It comes with a little hot pink belt so I just went with these kitten heel suedette slingback shoes, but yellow or blue shoes could equally go with this dress.
I wanted to edge it up a bit so I wore my cropped leather moto jacket, my vintage 1960s bag, chunky black flower necklace and black sunnies … you can’t see the earrings but they’re little aliens, as I love Science Fiction and aliens in general!!
As you can see I have worn my cat brooch in the turquoisey blue …
Yes, I would wear this is in winter because they’re so very mild here in Australia but layer it up with tights, a longer coat and some gloves because I hate having cold hands!
Overall and under it All..
Overall, it’s a pretty and fun dress and I enjoyed wearing it.
I just wore a trusty bodysuit under the dress… it also has a floral print!
Thank you so much for joining me in my little corner of the web,
