Pleather and leather have been a big trend this year and I’ve enjoyed wearing it this winter, it’s warm, it’s cosy and it’s a little bit edgy and sexy.
I couldn’t resist this pair of “jogger style” black pants because they’re so versatile and very comfortable – you just pull them up, throw on a cute top or jumper and head straight out the door!

The jogger style – having a drawstring waist and elasticised ankles gives the pants an easy relaxed look and feel, but they can be dressed up with a jacket, some heels, a scarf and cute gloves – it’s all in the details!
I also love the fact that I bought most of this outfit from local small businesses here in Wollongong or in Eden and that the rest was shopped from my closet.
It’s hard to beat both the simplicity and drama of an all-black look and this outfit really delivered giving me the confidence to enjoy a lovely evening out and about.

Who Doesn’t Love Some Chocolate?
I’ve had this chocolate and black cape/jacket for many years and I loved the way it came together so perfectly with the little pleather pants – sort of chic and glam but still super comfy and cosy, and at this stage of my life, that’s exactly what I’m here for – cosiness and comfort!

The cute lace-up booties, little gloves, cap, tortoiseshell sunnies and boho bag were the added extra details that gave the look some real oomph and turned this nice warm outfit into something stylish and fab!
Keep Your Shirt On!
I’ve also invested in a cute pleather shirt – it’s beautifully cut with lovely puffed sleeves that are perfect for my lymphodoema arms #breastcancer..
Once again it’s in black which makes it pretty versatile with a whole lot of bottoms.

I also couldn’t resist these burgundy coloured pleather pants, it’s a colour that always attracts me.

The green boyfriend blazer is in lovely harmony with the burgundy pants and the multi-coloured floral shirt – I love that shirts have found their way into popular looks and that they’re nice and roomy and comfortable.
As you can see I’ve also added a belt where I can because it gives some waist emphasis and a pretty feminine shape and detail, which I’m always here for.
I have to admit that most of the winter, or most of this year for that matter, has been spent either at home in Wollongong or in Eden as my health has suffered since the C-19 vaccinations last year leaving me with a small stroke and a real sense of tiredness and a general malaise in terms of life … I hope that turns around sometime soon and I’m setting the intention for more joy to come into my life because there’s not a real lot there at the moment…
Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web today, I’m always grateful for people to come in and have a visit with me.
I’d love to hear from you in the comments and wish you positivity wherever you may be in the world!
