Wearing Cream In Winter and Letting the Sun Shine In!!🥰🌻🤞

August 16, 2022

Let’s put some Cream On the Table!

I’m not gonna lie, it’s been a long, chilly and unpleasant winter – it’s either been cold, rainy, cold and rainy or just plain gloomy and I’m so looking forward to some beautiful long hot summer days and I think when I bought this new skirt, blouse and scarf I was making my brain think of warmer, sunnier days, brighter days!

The shape of this tube skirt is perfect for me because it fits like a glove and doesn’t add too much volume to the overall look.

The beige, white and black in the chevron pattern are versatile and chic and this skirt would look equally excellent with a black top or shirt and a sleek blazer for a more business take!

I’d also see this skirt as ideal for my boho styles with a cropped jumper or a long cardi and some western booties and a cap….

Getting the Print-Mix Right!

This chic, silky printed blouse went perfectly with this slinky skirt.

I chose the rounded print in the same colours as the chevron pattern on the skirt and loved the juxtaposition of the print shape and the textures of the skirt and blouse.

The animal print bag just added an added extra bit of oomph to this outfit along with tortoise shell earrings, belt buckle and sunnies!

Balancing Your Neutrals!

I mean with the chevron pattern there’s a definite break to an all neutral look but to keep things really interesting I wanted to add plenty of texture and interest with some cute details.

I’ve added suede booties and not only are they cosy and comfy while it’s still cool but the colour gives the outfit a richness, along with an animal print bag with the same colours in it as the skirt.

The on-trend (and also retro ‘80s) oversized cropped beige denim jacket gives the outfit a relaxed and casual vibe, as in it’s not the sort of jacket I’d wear in a professional environment, where I’d be more likely to wear a black blazer and black boots.

A chunky knit scarf came in handy when I was walking up the street and it was like a wind-tunnel
A fun ring, cat-eye tortoiseshell sunnies, earrings and belt buckle helps to bring the outfit together!

Springing Into Spring!

Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web as I shared this cute bridge outfit for heading into spring in a couple of weeks – I’d love to know what you think, my friends, about my neutral outfit in the comments!
