Edging Up An Animal Print Midi!

September 8, 2021

Satin & Pleather

A cute trans seasonal look ..

I decided to put this outfit together as a self challenge that I was doing for my YouTube channel, Donna Walmsley, Work Your Wardrobe, http://- [x] https://youtube.com/channel/UCDuuaDep59qC5B4Q_fNTDxw

The challenge was to find an outfit on Pinterest and then fashion something similar from my own wardrobe.

This was the outfit I refashioned

It can be intimidating when we look at platforms such as Pinterest and contemplate how we can make the outfit work for us.

The key is to look at what you have that will suffice and what you may wish to alter for whatever reason – so for me it was switching out the sneakers and adding the Chelsea boots instead as I don’t wear sneakers except to exercise.

I also substituted my pleather jacket for the moto jacket.

I had a black printed tee and found that it worked quite well.

Overall, I was pretty happy with the result and so, being in lockdown here in regional New South Wales, Australia, I decided to try it with a couple of other outfits.

I’ve substituted a single breasted shorter blazer as I’m petite and the oversized blazers can tend to swamp me and make me look short and dumpy, and I’ve used my pink tulle skirt and a cami under my blazer because I prefer a more modest take.

I closely replicated this look and was pretty happy with the outcome!
Didn’t have kick flare jeans so just used my old girlfriend jeans and paired the shoes back with them whereas she paired hers back to go with her neutral animal print blazer … I used my black/white animal print – not a bad look overall!

Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web and I hope you will pop over to my YouTube channel, Donna Walmsley, Work Your Wardrobe and check out my little video on using the inspiration of Pinterest to your advantage!

These outfit are so cool that icebergs everywhere just turned green with envy. Seriously though, they’re sensational! So fun, creative, glam, and gorgeous – plus, a terrific reminder to rock graphic/printed tees with skirts more often.

It was a fun challenge I gave myself, to look at Pinterest and then make an outfit, or three or four, work!

I do love a graphic tee with a skirt, it’s true!

      Have a great weekend, Autumn!
