4 Ways To Add Vibrancy To A Winter Outfit!

August 14, 2020

1. Colour It In!

It’s easy and safe to stick with wearing black in the cold months. There’s no reason, however, not to add a pop of colour with it.

My personal favourite in the colour stakes is red and as red was in the detailed hem of the skirt I couldn’t resist adding it to this outfit.

( Don’t be put off by the scarecrow in the background of my pics! )

2. Interesting Footwear and Tights!

Again, it’s easy to fall back on wearing black boots or shoes with a black outfit but my preference is to wear a coloured bootie with interesting details, an almond-shaped toe and a cute little heel.

I love these beautiful red fishnet tights with the outfit, giving a longer, sexier line to the leg.

3. Accessories

So many of the added extras that I have, I’ve collected and owned for years, if not decades – they’re perennial favourites!

Scarves, gloves and unique sunglasses all make for a way to elevate a winter outfit to be more interesting and vibrant – as I’ve said before, such things can be a conversation starter as well as keeping me cosy and stylish.

Once again I’ve worn the red to tie in with the trim of the skirt.

4. Edging It Up A Little!

“Life’s too short to wear boring clothes!” and “wear what makes you feel good!” are two concepts I just love!

Attitudes from people can be interesting when you dress a little differently and we had a fun time meeting people while we were out the other day having lunch and we look forward to catching up with them soon for a nice drink – clothing and fashion can certainly impact one’s life!!

I’ve also reached a point in my life where I have the confidence to wear what makes me happy without apology, and with this in mind, I wore my black tulle skirt, little cap and cropped leather jacket.

Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web!

Yes, thank you so much , it’s winter here in sunny Australia – fortunately it’s almost behind us!! I love booties too although there’s really only a small window to wear them as it’s just too hot. I love my fishnets!! Enjoy your weekend too!! 🧚🏻‍♀️❤️🐝

I love what you are doing with your posts! Red is my favorite color and you look stunning! Who takes your pictures?

Oh thank you, Diane, you’re very generous!! I just use a tripod and take my own pics – it’s actually very tricky because where we are it’s usually sunny so it’s hard to get the right light! John doesn’t have the patience to get the right angles or whatever and takes the pic while I’m in the middle of talking or have some other silly expression on my face so I prefer to just do what I can myself with the tripod and iPhone. I’m with you in loving red too! I’ve just been trying to inject some oomph into my posts because my engagement is pretty poor but it’s all just a bit of fun really anyway but I do appreciate your kind input!! Have a great new week, Diane and take care!

Fabulously lovely ensemble and an equally awesome outlook on personal style to match. I am right there with you 110% and am a huge advocate of marching to the beat of our own sartorial drums as often as is realistically possible.

You know it’s just so great that we are in a position to do so in the culture and community in which we live – for that I’m very grateful!!
Thank you for your support, Autumn and I hope you and yours are doing ok!!
      Have a wonderful weekend, Autumn!
