Cool Days and Fun Knits!
Itβs definitely the middle of winter here which means cooler, although sunny, days and pretty chilly nights with it getting down to only 5Β°C at night.
Itβs great that C-19 restrictions have eased so that we are able to get out for lunch and enjoy the beautiful winter days. I was able to fit back into these window pane pants, sort of, as I gradually shed the dreaded COVID kilos and loved them with this fine Italian-made silver knit jumper.

Anyone who comes here regularly would know that Iβm always banging on about being sustainable and that much of my wardrobe is pre-loved. There are times when I pick up a newbie because I find it too cute to pass up and this jumper was one such piece and I bought it from a small business that I support on a regular basis.
Ignore my crazy hair … it came out of its pins it seems but I fixed it before I went out. The addition of my tartan scarf was perfect for keeping me cosy enough for what turned out to be a fairly mild winterβs day.
Also, did you see how cute the sleeves are with the little cut-outs? I just hit off the red stripe in the tartan scarf, adding my red sunnies along with my little cropped leather jacket.

Planting and Harvesting!
Weβve been working to be more self-sustaining and have made a number of raised garden beds, which you can see in the background, full of a variety of vegetables and Iβve included some pics here of some of them and also our chilli, garlic prawns – which we didnβt grow!
It really is a case of being incredibly grateful that we are doing well here in Australia, with so few infections and deaths from C-19, even if we are still struggling back from bushfires and the economic impact of lockdown – honestly what a bloody crazy f***** up year
Thank you for visiting my little corner of the web and I wish you all the best for the coming week.

July 8, 2020 at 1:57 pmCozy can be (and I would argue, is somewhat inherently) cute for sure, but as you demonstrate marvelously here, it can also be wildly chic as well!
I’m seriously digging the pairing of an off-the-shoulder top with a classic winter scarf. It feels so fresh and looks incredible!!!
