Not My Usual Schtick!
Writing to you in the midst of this COVID-19 pandemic still seems so surreal. I hope that all who pass this way are well and safe.
It’s strange not being able to leave the house – I’m in the “at risk group” so I don’t even get to go the supermarket!!
It hasn’t stopped me from making an effort to dress, do my hair and pop some lippy on and take a few pics – before a nice cheese toasty for lunch!
It isn’t often you will see me in jeans … so there’s another of the seven signs of the apocalypse…

This was a particularly nice autumn day and truth to tell I was probably a bit too warm in this many layers but I felt like seeing if I could pull together a look that would satisfy me.
The cut of this blazer is so feminine and detailed and I love the peplum to emphasise the waist, the ribbon detail that runs around the jacket, the semi-puffed shoulder and roll-back cuffs.
I kept it simple with high waisted dark wash denim skinny jeans but added a crisp, white shirt and an old black, satin lapel waist coat under the jacket.
I felt the neutral animal print heels and cute little bag gave the outfit the right amount of edge, along with the big furry black earrings …

Lockdown Activities…
We’ve been involved in all sorts of activities since the lockdown including establishing a vegetable garden that’s growing great guns, cooking delicious food and John has been honing his leather making skills … now all we have to work out is how to make toilet paper and we will be right!! Lol

I’ve also prepared my boots for the next steampunk festival – unfortunately, the one we were to attend in April had to be cancelled because of the virus, although I will include pics from last year’s costume …

Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web and I hope you’re finding things to occupy yourself during this tricky time!!

April 15, 2020 at 9:50 pmOh thank you so much dear Lizzie!! It must be the angles!! Lol! I rarely wear jeans as they’re not really my feminine aesthetic and I just don’t find them comfortable at all!! These jeans were inexpensive and yet fit well and I don’t mind the way they look on – as long as I wear some heels because I do have short legs…
we are ok here, Australia has gotten off lightly in terms of cases and deaths but I worry about all those who have lost their jobs and so on!
Lovely to hear from you!
