Loving Beautiful Coral!

I was saddened that yet another local boutique was closing her doors permanently as a result of a struggling economy and the shocking bushfire crisis which struck this area of Australia so hard.
It meant I was able to pick up this beautiful Italian linen skirt and top for an excellent price.
I like the versatility of the two pieces and I can see myself wearing them in a variety of ways, although Iβm only showing you the way I wore them when we went out on a date night the other evening.

Move It Baby!
You can see that it was a touch windy when I took these pics, but I just loved the movement of the outfit.
The set was made in a one size fits all which can be a bit tricky as Iβm quite petite and I did find the skirt, which has a very wide waist band a little too long so I pulled it up over the bust and then tied the full skirt to the side to give the outfit a Grecian vibe.
I then put the oversized top on and tied it at the waist to give shape and interest and popped this pre-loved wide elastic black and animal print belt over the whole outfit.
It was nice to have the top have one shoulder bare as I ease back into being myself after the recent surgery and the long sleeve in this left side helps to camouflage the lymphodoema swelling – giving me a bit of sexy back but still being in control.

I tied the belt with animal print gold studded shoes Iβve owned for going on 8 years and added little black bag I recently op-shopped.
Wherever possible I am being sustainable in my dressing and shopping habits so I find that most of my day to day choices are a mixture of old, op-shopped, pre-loved with the occasional new outfit in there.
With this pandemic following on from the terrible bushfires weβve had here in Australia itβs the best way to go for my budget as well as for the environmentally sustainable element!!
Keeping Safe In Trying Times!
I donβt know how often we will be going out as the corona virus travels through our community here but I do hope all of you are safe and well!!
Iβm a big proponent of frequent hand washing and avoiding touching surfaces outside of the home and I prefer a bit of social distance anyway and so Iβm hopeful I will avoid infection … but we can only do our best and hope this dreadful experience is soon behind us!!
Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web and have a wonderful new week!

March 16, 2020 at 12:10 amHahaha!! Thank you – Iβm laughing about you saying about my emojis!! Itβs all just a bit of fun and Iβm not the worldβs greatest blogger but I do what I can!!
Itβs a beautiful colour in most people, I think, and I do love it as it really lifts the mood!
We are living through some very dark and challenging times – I think it will get worse before it gets better and we will have to learn different ways, I feel sure!!
Thank you for your support, beautiful friend and love to you and Tony!!

March 23, 2020 at 3:48 pmOh my goodness! You guys have had it rough with the bush fires and the pandemic π So sorry to hear about the closing of the boutique. I have so many friends that own coffee shops, restaurants, cafes, boutiques, etc locally and they are all so fearful of the same fate. I hope that you are staying well <3

March 23, 2020 at 8:25 pmYes, things are very bad, Lizzie, and my healer is also closing her shop … so many people losing their jobs. We must accept that life as we have known it is going to change and embrace the paradigm shift and try to go with it!! Keep positive and know weβre all in this together, worldwide …
