Black, White and some Retro!! πŸ‘—πŸŒ»πŸ₯°

March 9, 2020

Black and White Before and Again!

This is a beautiful silk, pre-loved designer dress with a cute 1920’s print that was perfect for a hot day.

I’ve been recovering from yet another breast reconstruction operation.

The hope is that this will be the final finish, but who knows?

So wearing things that are comfortable as well as stylish has been the way to go and this dress fits the bill.

I added some cute black accessories with some pretty bracelets, sunnies, earrings and these cute heels!

A few days following my surgery I made the effort to go out for a delicious Vietnamese meal in this Joseph Ribkoff frilled hem pants and fringe hem top.

I really loved the addition of the animal print belt, shoes and tortoiseshell specs… I wear these glasses when my eyes get tired of an evening to watch television or whatever and I’m quite happy with the style of them too, but God I hate wearing glasses so much!!

This outfit proved to be comfortable at a time where I’m still retaining lots of fluid and trying to recover …

Once again it’s a case of shopping my wardrobe with this top and pants and this fun belt was from my favourite second hand shop, while the bag was from another such place – I love being as sustainable as possible while still having fun with fashion!

Super Flattering Retro-style Dress!!

I’ve owned and worn this dress for going on ten years, along with the shoes while the bag was bought for $4 from a local op-shop – love my bargains and shopping my wardrobe!!

I love the princess cut of this dress and petite print as it is so flattering on an hourglass shape, emphasising my waist, which is one of my best features and at this stage I have to make the best of what I have! Lol!

Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web and I’d love to hear from you about which of these outfits you like or styles you like to wear!

Thoroughly terrific pair of outfits. The fringe on the black top is channeling some of the best elements of both the 1920s and 60s alike.

And I’m with you completely regarding how magnificent the cut of that dress is on you – and us hourglass shaped folks in general. What a classic, beautiful gem of a garment!

Thank you, dear Autumn!! I agree with the comment on the fringe – it’s all sort of go-go!!

I love the fifties style of dress but sometimes they can be a bit too much fabric and bit too long but this one is just so perfect and fits prettily. The sleeves are good too because I’ve always had solid arms and strong biceps and then add some swelling from the lymphodoema and it’s often tricky to get sleeves to fit but these ones are pleasantly comfy and roomy!!

Hope things are good with you as you move into spring!
