Shorts, A Floral Dress and Animal Print!!
This type of 1970’s look – button down the front, long shirt style with a tie waist and long sleeves – is having a bit of a moment.
I’m not entirely sure I like it, but I have worn it a couple of times in a couple of different ways – and quite honestly I can see me styling it with a roll neck top and boots for winter.
I’m not convinced it’s overly flattering but I felt challenged to experiment with an alternative look.
A Change Of Pace…
We are back up in Wollongong, and although I miss the beauty of the farm in Eden, I do not miss the horrible smoke but hopefully that will have cleared somewhat now that there has been some substantial rain!
I thought it was time to bring this dress out for an airing – it really is so bright and perfect for summer!!
I love the mix of hot pink with the red and green!!
This dress is another one from Australian label, Review, and I really do love their retro current styles!!
I just teamed the dress with my cute pink suede sling-backs, little pink wicker bag, green belt and red necklace and earrings.
I do love the cut and fit of this dress as compared to the animal print button down, although the button down is more forgiving to wear after a big meal!
Honestly, when we are up here there are always just so many appointments and people to catch up with – not only am I getting the next step in the breast cancer reconstruction done, visits from my grown children and we are also working towards getting things going for our bee business, ‘Purple Sting’, which includes getting a business plan firmed up, t-shirts ordered and jars and labels sorted.
We shall see how I go getting all this stuff done!!
Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web and I’d love to hear your thoughts on these outfits and you can see more of my outfits on my Instagram, donnadoesdresses…
