My Positive Experience with Blogerize!!

October 21, 2019

I was so fortunate to be approached by Blogerize to rejuvenate my blog a few months ago and this testimonial is my valued and positive experience with them. I have not been paid for this testimonial but freely and happily wish to discuss the outstanding experience I had with them!

Touching Base!

In early July, in the depths of winter here in Australia, I received an email sent by Olivia from a company known as Blogerize wanting to collaborate to give me a “blog makeover” in return for writing a testimonial about the experience.

Blogerize is a company that works with people to improve their blogs.

Even so, I am careful by nature, so wanted to explore the possibilities and ensure that they were a bona fide company before I jumped into a relationship with them.

After satisfying myself that they were genuine and trustworthy I was handed over to Emily and entered into an online dialogue about what I would like my blog to look like and to deliver.

Perfect Timing!

It was strange because when I first heard from Olivia I had been uncertain as to whether I would keep going with the blog because I was a bit disappointed with the lack of engagement.

Hearing from Blogerize was very timely and made me feel like I should keep going with the blog for a bit longer, and the promise of a sweet new design was exciting and reinvigorating.

I was passed on to Emily for the rest of the process and she seriously has the patience of a saint and is incredibly intelligent, anticipating questions before they were even asked, as well as being totally professional and approachable.

Emily assured me that there could never be too many questions and set me at my ease that the questions would never be considered stupid.

During the process we must have exchanged over a hundred emails to ensure that we got it right!

I asked for a simple and feminine theme and that it be user friendly.

Emily speedily delivered my brief and so much more and I feel so grateful to her for her outstanding work.

The Added Extras… and Self-Hosting

I must admit I felt a bit scared about the self-hosting aspect of things, as I had only been with WordPress up until that point.

I was advised to link up with SiteGround for the web-hosting and after doing extensive research, with no pressure from Blogerize, I have been working with them and it has worked well enough for me to date.

Emily assisted me through this part of the process and transferred my followers and older posts across to the new site in a fairly seamless manner, although there were a couple of sleepless nights for me when I worried that I had perhaps lost my previous posts and likes.

The content, posts and comments did come across, but unfortunately not the likes.

Plugins and other features were all put in for me by Emily from Blogerize to help my blog grow, and Emily gave me some suggestions in relation to tags and categories on how to improve the blog.

But Wait!! There’s More!!

Blogerize also have free online and YouTube training courses to make the most out of our blog. Read about them Here …. As someone who has very little technical savvy it is great to have this type of support!

I’ve been very excited to have the support and knowledge of the team at Blogerize, and Emily made the whole thing delightful, pleasant and successful and I feel blessed, grateful and lucky to have experienced it. After the last year and a bit of worry and pain with breast cancer, this was so welcome!! I can’t thank Emily and her team at Blogerize enough!! That is an interesting experience. And it seems very helpful. I’m going to check their online courses. There is so much to learn as a blogger. Thank you for the tip.

Very interesting post Donna. I think most of us long for a professional 3rd party view on our blogs because we learn by trial and error. I often worry that there are things I should be doing. Great that it worked so well for you!

I hadn’t even thought about it until Olivia and Emily reached out but I found the way they grooved the blog up very pleasing!! Yours looks fabulous – but I have zero technical ability so I will take all the help I can get!! I still have no clue on how things like Pinterest and twitter work .. lol!! Thank you for your comment, Gail!! πŸ§šπŸ»β€β™€οΈβ€οΈπŸ
