Spring In A Skirt!

While 95% of the world’s population is in autumn and preparing for their winter, we are in the middle of spring and looking forward to another long, hot summer.

Where we are on the south east Pacific coast of Australia is pretty mild for most of the year, although this year, the warm weather has been slow to arrive.

Today saw sunshine, so I was happy to wear this lovely yellow to pay homage to a real spring day!

Pretty This and Pretty That!

I’ve been having trouble recovering from my recent breast reconstruction surgery so we headed off to Sydney, for a vitamin infusion and to go under the healing lamp, with the hope of expediting the healing process.

This sunny outfit was the perfect choice for cheering me up – the skirt is a simple midi-frill-edged-wrap style.

I’m a “matchy, matchy” person so of course I added my old yellow @mizmooz sandals, a yellow wooden bangle and a yellow headband with a small floral print – oh, and my parasol!

The skirt has a bit of light brown running through it and so the straw-weave cross-body bag seemed like a good choice!

You Are My Sunshine!

I’ve lamented before that getting photos both here and in Eden are tricky because they’re crazy sunny spots and I think you can see that here!

Even though it was a sunny day, I still felt comfortable in a cropped, cream denim jacket over a white graphic t-shirt, and as the weather warms up a tank top or camisole would be cute under the jacket, or I just wouldn’t worry about the jacket at all!

Also, what do you think about these earrings? I usually wear small earrings but saw these and thought they were summery, fun and groovy but I’m not sure if they’re a bit big for me!! I’d love to hear your thoughts!!

Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web and leave a like or follow if this resonates with you.

I would love to hear from you in the comments below – what do you think would go well with this yellow skirt?

Have a wonderful weekend!

it’s weird seeing you in lighter summer colours Donna. I do enjoy watching our seasons change and I’m envious already! The yellow skirt is gorgeous. I love a floaty skirt xx

Hehehe!! Yess – it really is weird to be wearing these light colours but it will be this way until about mid-May as it heats up here! This floaty skirt feels nice and feminine and the yellow is lovely and bright!! Have a great week, Laurie and thank you for your kind comment! πŸ§šπŸ»β€β™€οΈβ€οΈπŸ

Donna, this is so pretty! I love the soft floral on the yellow background. And then you added that bit of edge with a cute graphic tee and denim jacket! So good. And of course, I am loving the parasol! Such a flirty gorgeous look. Thanks so much for linking up!
