Cute Yellow Print in a Fun Dress…
I love pre-loved.
I love wrap-dresses – faux and otherwise.
I also love umbrellas and parasols.
I found this cute dress at my local second hand boutique and it looked like it had barely been worn.
Whenever I can I try to be sustainable – it’s great for the planet and for my pocket too!!
Back To the Dress!!
I love the yellow in the print and find it bright and uplifting!
It wasn’t only the print that I find appealing about this dress but also the faux wrap front and the nice heavy weight cotton fabric that ensures that the dress retains its shape.
The length is ideal for my petite height, being knee length, which also gives the dress a more relaxed and casual spring vibe.
I like the three quarter sleeves, particularly at the moment as I’m still so swollen following my recent chest surgery, and of course the v-neck is flattering on me too!
Seamless Tricks for Flattering!
I’ve found this dress delivered more than it promised and have been pleasantly surprised by the effectiveness of the ruching around the waist for comfort and a positive aesthetic.
The A-line skirt is also super feminine.
I couldn’t resist adding some yellow touches like my well worn @mizmooz shoes, a sweet yellow floral print headband, a yellow jewelled and sparkly cuff bracelet, wicker cross-body bag, cosmic necklace, well worn @lespecs sunnies and my ‘Grumpy Old Lady’ parasol which I wrote about acquiring here A bit of retro on the side and where I talk about Negative Nancies and Debbie Downers .. amongst other things!!
How beautiful is this hand-painted design? I just love the water birds, the reeds and the lovely yellows, greens, blues and reds that are used on it!
It’s going to get a lot of use over the coming summer for blocking the harsh, hot Australian summer sun, plus it’s super pretty – so I see it as a win all round!!
Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web and I’d love to hear your thoughts on yellow, parasols and sustainable dressing in the comments below!

October 14, 2019 at 2:59 pmDonna, I love this pretty dress and even more so because it was secondhand! I am really getting more and more into secondhand shopping these days. Your parasol is so gorgeous! I am totally hooked on parasols these days and really want to add a few more to my wardrobe. It would be wonderful if I could find some cute parasols secondhand! Thanks for joining my link up.
