Blending In or Standing Out..
A trend that I do find myself gravitating towards is camouflage.
I like the mix of colours that can be found in the various prints and you can read about my camo jeans here Dressing in Camo
Now in this series of photos it looks as though I am trying to hide in the jungle of the front decking of the apartment in Wollongong, but it was just so sunny and difficult to get good pictures, so I was chasing the shade…
I’ve also been directed by my Doctor to rest, but just had to sneak out for a few hours of retail therapy…
Keeping Camo Feminine!
I prefer a feminine aesthetic, so I paired this cute cropped jacket – which I would prefer even more cropped, but then I am petite – with a sweet, olive wrap skirt.
The jacket is oversized and that fits with the look and is offset with the movement of the soft skirt.
I wore a sparkly camisole over the top of my surgical bra – excuse straps showing – for my second trip out of the house following the breast reconstruction surgery.
I’m not going to lie – my energy is definitely down on where it was, and I felt pretty washed out, so the subdued colours were pretty apt!
The subdued colours were extended into my nude heels and the wicker cross-body bag.
Manifesting Our Wants…
Each new moon I write down my intentions for the month – I usually narrow it down to three things – and plant them. I’ve found this little ritual effective in keeping me true to purpose and helping me to realise my creativity.
Fun story: I had not actually written down, although talked and thought about wanting, a little wicker bag like this one in the above pics. When I went on a thrift shopping expedition recently, this one was found, brand new, with tickets on and a small fraction of the price it was in other places I’d seen it! I have found this sort of thing happens quite a lot to me – have you experienced such things? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!!
Keeping It Real!!
I spent most of the next day in bed, but I was glad to get out and about for a few hours and I know that I will have my energy back soon and be healed to the point where I can get on with my normal life, but for now I just have to accept things the way they are.
Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web and I’d love to hear your thoughts on the camo trend and any of the other things I touched in here.

Itβs very hard to get pics here because itβs just so sunny most of the time … and setting your mind to your intentions, writing them down and planting them, canβt hurt can it? Enjoy your week, my friend!!
