Hitting the Road!
Many years ago, when land was a whole lot less expensive on the south east coast of Australia, we bought a parcel of 150 acres of virgin sub tropical rainforest with the view to building a holiday home on it.
The rustic and simple timber American barn has become a place of real comfort and joy in recent years and you can read some posts about it here https://donnadoesdresses.com/2019/08/29/spring-hygge-bedroom-at-the-farm/ and here here https://donnadoesdresses.com/2018/10/11/rustic-farmhouse-tour-living-area/ and https://donnadoesdresses.com/2018/07/20/making-things-hygge/
I have had to manage various health crises in my life and the quiet isolation of Eden has proved excellent for my healing.
At this stage, however; we still have to make the 400 kilometre trek every few weeks back up the coast to Wollongong for various appointments and family obligations.
Built for Comfort and Style…
It’s about a six hour drive all up, and even though I’m going to be in the car all day and prefer to be comfortable, I still want to look and feel stylish!
This outfit was able to achieve both of those requirements.
The pants with the wrap front and the top, with it’s flattering cowl neck, are made from an ethically produced bamboo that breathe and are so soft against the skin.
To add a bit of glamour and oomph I threw this black kimono over the top.
I love the kimono’s sheerness and sweet red floral embroidered details.
It’s Been A Funny Old Day…
The weather was definitely warmer, so even though we are just out of winter, it was appropriate to wear sandals and light clothing.
Of course, I couldn’t resist wearing my pretty cuff bracelet, robot necklace and alien earrings – science fiction being close to my heart!!
I think the style of these pants is really fun and feminine.
There’s a wrap across the front and a cute hi-lo hem on the legs which give the pants movement and a flattering shape:

So that is where all the Rain forest ended up. You can sell carbon neutralizing trees and make a fortune.
