Dress or Jacket?
I am in Nicole Molders linkup https://highlatitudestyle.com/review-of-eagle-eyes-aviator-sunglasses/
https://glamadventure.com/work-from-home-tips/
I recently purchased a thick-denim dress from A Country Road, an Australian designer.
It’s a nice dark denim with long sleeves.
The dress is fine just with fishnets/tights and heels but I decided to wear it a bit differently, as a longish jacket over an old pair of black, slightly-flaired jeans.
Recent Trend or Old Favourite…
A recent trend is wearing pants under button-down dresses.
This isn’t anything particularly new, although it is definitely fun and a way to increase the use of some of your dresses.
I tied the waist tie at the back to give the dress some shape when left open.
I kept my jeans and top black and simple so that the focus would be on some of the accessories like my animal print scarf around my head, my belt and my shoes….
Trans-seasonal Dressing…
We are moving towards spring – or autumn – depending on which hemisphere you’re in, and the weather can be a bit unpredictable, so having a piece that layers so well is convenient and fun.
Fun Fact:
Only 5% of the world’s population live in the Southern Hemisphere… something in that for all of us …
Loving Studs!
I really like these big press studs on this dress – sort of gives it a bit of a rustic, edgy feel and makes it easy to get in and out of…
This was the perfect outfit for a trip in to Eden for a Sunday afternoon drink, because the day started out warm and then came up a bit chilly, so that jacket really came in handy!!
Spring Is Just Around The Corner!
I’m enjoying the bulbs I planted last year coming up again and feel excited as we move towards some warmer weather.
We’ve decided to make raised garden beds for my sunflowers and veggies.
We’re hoping it will act as a preventative measure from the wallabies, wombats and kangaroos that love to munch on all my garden pretties!
AND!! Investigating raising bees … so trying to catch a swarm or get one via the bee club! … interesting times!!

August 23, 2019 at 10:29 amYou live in Eden. Literally! I love that. It looks beautiful. You have such a fantastic view. But back to fashion. I like the denim dress as a dress, but it was great as a jacket too. It is very practical like jacket. And very sassy with the net tights. Lovely.

August 23, 2019 at 8:01 pmThank you so much, Anna, yes the place is well-named!! I agree with you about the dress and my preference is to wear it as a dress but thought it would be good to do a post showing some versatility in the outfit. I do love sassy! Thank you for your kind comment and support,

August 24, 2019 at 9:15 pmThank you so much – itβs get when we can get our clothing to do double duty and to work for us, plus itβs a bit more sustainable … the south east coast of Australia is a very nice part of the world in which to live – although we are pretty remote with no neighbours for many kilometres!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
