I do love dresses as my user name indicates.

I do also love separates.

I think the medium print of this skirt and top is cute and a little bit 1960’s … a little bit!!

The colours in it are perfect to go with so many different coloured tights, jackets and footwear.

The fabric is quite light weight but I generally consider the three-quarter sleeves and black background of the print to be more autumn or winter appropriate, at least here in sunny Australia … all this beautiful light!!

It’s All In the Fit!!

The skirt is a touch shorter than I prefer, being above the knee, but this is easily remedied with tights – and in this case over-the-knee boots.

I still prefer boots with a reasonable heel and a pointed toe, and these ones are great because they just pull up the leg with this nutmeg colour styling beautifully with the print in the skirt and top.

There’s a pretty flair around the hem of the skirt, as it is cut on the bias, making this a very feminine piece with lots of movement when I walk – I love that swishy feeling when I walk along!!

I also drew from the colours in the print and decided on this purple jacket.

The two separate pieces work very well on their own as they each have that little something extra in their detail; the skirt has a sweet waist tie and the top has a rolled collar and peep-hole neckline.

The skirt would look fine with a black, purple or brown top, tights and jacket and the top would be great with a purple, black or brown bottom.

I must confess to wearing the two pieces together most of the time as I think they make a bit of a statement and I’m not one to be shy with my clothing!

The detail on this jacket is worth a look – I always love and notice little details and that is something I look for in fashion and enjoy about my style!

Needing Help!!

I’ve recently joined Pinterest but have no idea of how to put the Pinterest button on my blog here with WordPress … if anyone has any advice on how to work this out I’d love to hear because I have very little technical skills and just keep looking at the admin section trying to figure it out but alas to no avail!!

Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web!!

I’d love to hear your thoughts in print and details in the comments below or leave a like or follow!!

Yess!! To lots of details and berry tones – they’re so warm and uplifting!! I was so glad to get some boots that would fit over my solid calves … I have the same problem with my biceps and it’s annoying! Have a great weekend, Laurie and I appreciate your kind comment!
