An Autumn Coat-Dress and A Sunny Day…

Autumn Sunshine!

I am joining https://bonchicstyle.com/2019/05/06/boho-chic-mustard-jumpsuit-and-a-linkup/ bon and chic style linkup…

In this part of the world it is possible to have beautiful sunny days throughout Autumn.

Deciduous leaves fall to let more sunlight in..

When I found this coat-dress in a local boutique recently I fell in love with the stunning maple leaf print and the gorgeous cut and texture of the fabric.

Needless to say I was thrilled with its retro-shape and style!!

Originally, I preferred one that had my signature jewel colours, but it was not available in my size, so I opted for this print instead and I’m really not sorry!

Wrap It Up!

The dress is a classic wrap dress which means that the waist is adjustable to comfort on a particular day.

There’s quite a few ways that the waist tabs could be tied and I just opted for the simplest as I didn’t want any fussy bows.

I paired the dress with some “bamboo” leggings which were super comfy and I’m looking forward to matching some coloured tights with it too.

It’s all in the cut..

I love the way this dress is cut to give quite an exaggerated fit and flair look.

It’s very feminine and pretty – and it has pockets!!

The orange suede shoes that I’ve had for many years were perfect with it but as we move into winter, boots or booties would be great too with a jacket or cape over the top, or a roll-necked long-sleeved top underneath or even a body stocking …

At this stage I just wore my cream bodysuit and felt feminine and pretty from the inside out, although I’ve been having a fair bit of pain of late – breast cancer, the gift that just keeps on giving – I try not to let it get me down!

Pain or not, I enjoyed, and was grateful to be wearing this beautiful dress out to a nice lunch today and to be here to enjoy a beautiful autumn day. It was also lovely to get so many nice compliments from complete strangers – made me think I must have done something right!!

Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web and I’d love to hear from you in the comments or leave a like or follow,
