Sixties-style Mustard and Burgundy dress …

May 4, 2019

A-Line Ease in a Dress..

I’ve owned this dress and blouse for about six years and it is always a fun outfit that draws comment.

I guess that’s the advantage of staying much the same size for many years is your clothes still fit way down the track!

I like the ease of movement that the A-Line shape provides.

This dress is beautifully finished with pretty details.

There is a bone panel down the centre and a dark pink-mauve waist band and bow.

The Colour Wheel..

I went for the opposite colour on the colour wheel to pair the mustard with burgundy in the blouse worn underneath and the tights and booties.

I also wear a leather jacket in burgundy when it gets to winter, and although I took it with me the other day when I wore this, I didn’t really need it!

Rear-View and Pockets

It’s so wonderful to have a dress with pockets, as women’s clothing so rarely include them.

The pockets in this dress don’t bulk the dress out and that’s just great!!

The dress looks as sleek from the back as it does from the front!!

Tights and Booties Weather..

As the weather turns to winter here in Australia, tights and booties are a welcome addition.

Every chance I get I like to wear coloured and textured tights and pretty booties – just because it gets a bit cooler doesn’t mean that I can’t continue to embrace a feminine look!

Under the radar..

This outfit called for simple black under things and so I just stuck with my beautiful black lace bra and panties.

Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web and I’d love to hear from you in the comments below or leave a like or follow!!

Hmmm – yes, I do love my brollies, probably because the country’s perennially in drought so when I get to use one it’s a big thing …. although last weekend I was using it for shade! Thank you for commenting, Tom and have a great weekend!! Donna 🧚🏻‍♀️❤️🙏
