Retro Floral Prints in Dresses…

Fun and Delicate Floral…

There’s no doubt that large floral prints are the latest trend, as I have featured here on a few occasions, but for that truly retro feel in a dress nothing beats a small, delicate floral print.

Mid-Century mix …

I purchased this dress and all opinions are my own.

This dress is by @ReviewAustralia.

It hits just below the knee, which is my preferred option.

Traditional looks …

With a sweetheart neckline and cute short sleeves it is a very pretty, girly dress.

There’s also a pretty bow in the middle of the chest.

Figure-Hugging Shape

The cut of the dress is such that it fits my figure very nicely.

It’s darted on the waist which ensures a beautiful shape and yet allows room on the bust for a fuller figure.

A Bit of an Accent

The print of the dress includes red, cobalt, yellow, white and black.

In these photos I have teamed it with a wide red belt, red shoes, a red bracelet, retro sunglasses and a turquoise crystal necklace.

Shaping Up …

In past posts I’ve discussed the importance of feeling my best self and wearing clothing that makes me feel good about myself, including lingerie.

In this dress I was wanting a smooth look so added a waist cincher to achieve this.

I also needed to wear a bra that had straps that sat widely on the shoulders.

I have found the best serum for my eyelashes and eyebrows and I wanted to show how well it has worked…

Thank you for joining me in my little corner of the web.

I love a wide range of clothing and I find this mid-century look very appealing.

I would love to hear from you in the comments or leave a like or follow,

    • Thank you so much, Laurie – I usually take my own photos with a tripod but John did these and he was pretty professional – lol!! The serum is called Eye Envy – I get it from the place I go to for my laser sessions on my rosacea .. my eyelashes and eyebrows were so thin from cancer treatment, stress, menopause old age … anyway I was advised to try this stuff and within weeks my lashes and brows had grown back. I only put it on in the morning after my shower and now every second day is ok. But seriously when I saw the photos I couldn’t believe how good my lashes looked with barely any mascara because I’m not much of a makeup person and even for the blog they’re just shots I’ve taken on my way out so .. anyway very happy, Laurie, and thank you for commenting – maybe I should do a blog post on it .., πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈβ€οΈπŸ™πŸΌ Donna

    • Yes, it’s a dress I’ve had for years but I always like to drag it out now and then – as you know I like to dress in retro fashions from time to time so this fits the bill, but won’t be for everyone!! Thanks for your comment, Diane! Enjoy your weekend! Donna πŸ§šπŸ»β€β™€οΈβ€οΈπŸ™
