Aah! The jumpsuit!
After the eighties they said it would never come back , mind you they probably said that in the forties and sixties too … and yet here we are – the jumpsuit is bigger than ever!
Throw It On And Run!
The simple act of just throwing on one piece and running out the door certainly has its appeal.
This is a review of this cute jumpsuit from target petites, Danni Minogue range.
It is made from a soft black cotton fabric with a black self spot and white polka dots.
There’s a crossover front and little flutter short sleeves, which I love – they give great coverage for arms that I’m not proud of plus they protect the shoulders from sunburn, always something to consider here in Australia.
I’m about 159/160cm tall and the pants hit just above the ankle and, although I’m wearing them with a kitten heel, you could easily wear some flats, sandals or even heels for a more dressed-up look!
Fitting It Up:
I sized up to an Australian size 12 to ensure plenty of room in the length of the body, as there’s nothing worse than the jumpsuit creeping up and giving the dreaded camel-toe …
As a result of sizing up, the jumpsuit is very roomy, but that’s great for the hot Australian summer that we can expect.
I wore the jumpsuit on what started out as a warm, spring day here in Wollongong, on the New South Wales south coast.
We drove south for half an hour to Kiama, a beautiful beachside town and had a bite to eat and a little wander around the shops.
It came up a touch windy so my magenta cardigan came in handy.
I always love a retro aesthetic so teamed the cardi with suede kitten heels and a little pink scarf as a headband and my old cross-body black leather handbag.
It was a bit annoying when I kept sinking into the grass in these shoes, so a pair of flats or wedges would probably have been the thing …
I added a bow belt to the waist to give the whole look more shape and I added some cute cat’s eye sunnies to keep to the retro vibe.
This is the second jumpsuit I have bought this year and I wouldn’t mind one in a lighter linen as we head into summer.
Target have done a good job with their petite Danni Minogue range to create cute, fashion-forward styling at an affordable price.
I also purchased a cropped denim jacket and a couple of other things from there that I’m pretty happy with!
Please note that this post is NOT being sponsored by Target, I just like their stuff sometimes!!
