Red, Red Wine and Dresses! πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‰πŸ™€

November 2, 2018

Wine all about it …

This colour, always a favourite of mine, is one of the biggest colours this Autumn!

And why wouldn’t it be?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen it look anything but fabulous on anyone who wears it, regardless of hair colour and complexion.

Dressing it up!

I put one of these photos on Instagram this week and a couple of people thought that this sweet dress from Fever London was a velvet fabric, but it’s a fine, quite heavy brushed, soft cotton with a self-pattern.

I love my dresses to show my silhouette!

The Devil is in the Detail:

I love the ruching on the waist and the angled neckline, both of which I find flattering and feminine.

I love pretty things and I love collecting dragonfly pretties, in particular!

This is my favourite brooch, silver inlaid with garnet eyes and body in the shape of a dragonfly.

I consider dragonflies to be my spirit creature and a connection to the spirit world, so I wear them close when I feel the need for spiritual support.

In the Frame:

Having a small face and prominent cheekbones has meant it’s always been a bit difficult to get cute sunglasses to fit.

I’ve found that these cats eye sunglasses are the thing and wear them constantly.

They also have a retro vibe that is one that I favour!

The right pair of shoes complete the look:

These are a well-worn pair of forties-style shoes, and have the right touch of burgundy and animal print to add a little something, something ….

The Right Fit:

I like my dresses to fit like a glove and getting them altered ensures this!

I’ve worn this dress in a number of contexts from work, as an executive educator, out to dinner and to various appointments. It’s the type of dress that is chic and stylish, yet comfortable, approachable, adaptable and most of all flattering!

Burgundy, wine or even, rose is the bomb this year, but I’ve always loved it and will continue to grab any that I can and wear it for a guaranteed fab result!

Thank you for visiting my little corner of the web and I’d love to hear what you think about wearing this beautiful, rich colour in a comment, like or follow!

Oh, thank you – I’ve been unwell this year and my hair was not so good so I wear extensions from time to time!! That’s so annoying that the pic didn’t come out – I sometimes wonder about wordpress!! Thank you so much for commenting and have a great week! πŸ§šπŸ»β€β™€οΈβ€οΈπŸ™ Donna

Donna, I hope you feel better. I have been in the same position as far as not being well for quite awhile, myself. Just wanted to let you know that you are not alone! The Lord keeps me, though. Big Hugs to YOU! I see the Dragonfly, now! 😊

Aah! Thank you for your kind wishes and right back at you! I’ve recently had reconstruction surgery following treatment for breast cancer and I’ve learned a lot in this process and look after myself a lot better now! πŸ§šπŸ»β€β™€οΈβ€οΈπŸ™ Donna
