Dresses for Autumn or Spring?

October 26, 2018

Maximising our Wardrobe:

I love it when I can make the most out of my wardrobe, not just because it makes good financial sense, but because then I get to wear some of my favourite pieces for longer.

This dress is medium weight, is long sleeved and is fully lined, which makes it ideal for autumn with or without a little jacket, or even into winter with a nice snuggly coat and scarf!

Big Prints and me …

This year larger prints have been very much the trend.

In fact, you can’t turn anywhere without seeing them!

As a petite woman I feel that large prints swamp me…

And yet here I stand!!

Autumn:

This dress easily works with tights and boots or booties or even a sweet pair of heels to be snug for chilly autumn days and there’s even room underneath, because of the soft giving fabric, for thin, thermal underwear!!

Spring:

They don’t call it spring for nothing!

As my Mum used to say: “They don’t call it spring for nothing! It’s always springing from one season to another and so be prepared!!”

What do you think about wearing larger prints?

What do you think about the flatter factor in relation to larger prints and smaller women?

Thank you for calling into my little corner of the web and leave a like, comment or follow to engage with more posts like this!

Thank you, Nicole! I am trying to make what we are dressing like here for spring relatable to the northern hemisphere autumn which is a bit tricky! Have a great weekend!

Nice look Donna:-) Yes you can definitely wear it for both spring and fall. Great job pairing it with boots for fall look. Large print is hard to pull off. You did a good job with this one.

I think that dress suits you. The patterns don’t swamp you at all.
