Aah! Tuesday … as good Aussie rockband, The Easybeats used to say back in the ’60s song, ‘Friday On My Mind’ … “comin’ Tuesday I feel better….
…..Even my old man looks good”… so to celebrate, and being the daughter of a Scotswoman I have lately made the best of Tuesday’s by availing myself of Cheap Tuesday at the movies.
The question is ‘What to wear? What to wear?’
I wanted to wear something stylish and cute bit not too uptight:
I wore a black and grey plaid peplum midi skirt with a sheer sleeved top, cropped pleather jacket, fluffy scarf, black tights and booties.
We went to see ‘The Meg’ because we like scary or action movies.
It was no ‘Jaws’ but it wasn’t too bad overall.
Afterwards, we headed to ‘Moomins’, a bar/restaurant owned by a Czechoslovakian young woman and her Chinese partner and they serve a combination of Chinese and Czechoslovakian tapas dishes.
Our next movie night was to see ‘The Nun’, and once again this was no Exorcist but it had a few scares in it, that’s for sure!
I decided to wear a graphic t-shirt with a ladder lace skirt, zippy cropped black jacket, mustard scarf and black tights and booties:
This was a comfy outfit that took us first for a nice coffee at a sweet local cafe:

And then to Dagwoods’ for a glass of bubbly before heading back home for some leftovers, because it was ‘cheap Tuesday’ after all!!
[wpvideo uSjjHFR0 ]This week it was ‘The Predator’ that we went to see and although quite different to the Arni version it was totally action packed and the good guys won in the end – so what more could you want?
I wore my fringed Joseph Ribkoff fringed skirt and for a bit of fun teamed it with my Groot t-shirt, leather jacket, tights, scarf and booties.
Initially, I’d considered wearing my khaki denim jacket with bare legs but it’s still a bit too cold …
After the movie we went to Moomins and partook of a couple of delicious gin cocktails:
I love the kitschyness of this place that turns a Tuesday into a bit of fun – I mean who would think of serving a delicious cocktail in a teacup?
The decor is great too – and being early on a Tuesday evening it’s nice and quiet, which is perfect for an old introvert like me!!
So, it was a fun evening and I’m exceedingly grateful to be leading my best life and celebrating my joy whenever I can!
