Welcome to my discussion on wearing cosy knit dresses.
As a curvy woman my biggest fear is always that the knit is going to bulk me up and make me look bigger than I am. There are plenty of dresses out there that will do just that but I’m actually pretty happy with the dresses shown here today,
Both of these dresses are made from a fine knit fabric that skims the curves without clinging to the body and showing off the bulges. The dress on the left in the bright blue colour is vibrant and lifts the spirits on a cool winter’s day, whereas the grey/black animal print is always a classic.
Both look super stylish with the detail of the tie sash on the blue dress and the cute extended cuffs on the animal print dress. Both have a lovely cowl neck which I find super flattering, because the neck length is extended a little bit …
This navy knit dress is a slightly thicker fabric and has a feature zip that runs up from the middle of the collarbone in front, and up across the shoulder and down the back.
What’s surprising and cute about this little knit dress is that it has a hood!!
The details on all of these dresses make them more than just a knit dress and the following is no exception:
This little knit dress is in grey marle and has lovely ruching across the front which makes it forgiving and comfortable and hides a world of flaws around the tummy area …
I’ve moved the neckline down a bit by placing a scarf beneath the chin and the colours in the scarf are pretty, lifting the grey …
The next knit dress is a bit plain so I grooved it up a bit:
On the left I’ve placed the belt under the long vest, on the right the belt is on the outside, which gives it more of a 1980s vibe …
I wasn’t sure which way to wear the outfit:
Wore it one way, then the other and I’m still not sure …
One thing is for sure, knit dresses are versatile, comfortable, flattering and fun!
Thank you for visiting my little corner of the web today and I would love to hear from you in my comments, or you could leave a like or even follow me and share in fashion, food and lifestyle fun!

August 10, 2018 at 12:07 amYou look great in all of them, Donna! I’ve realised that while I wear dresses almost every day to work, and lots of dresses on the weekends in summer, I almost never wear dresses as casual wear in winter. You’ve inspired me to give some cosy casual knits a go!

January 26, 2019 at 9:50 pmI love mad coloured tights but they are hard to get here in actual shops because it doesnβt get that cold and we are a fashion backwater in Australia big time!! People just wear jeans and t shirts …. and beach gear! Donna π§π»ββοΈβ€οΈπ
