Feeling a bit blue … Recycle, Reuse, Reduce …

July 11, 2018

Some of my earliest memories of my childhood are of trolling the op-shops with one of my sisters and my mother looking for baby clothes to use as new outfits for my dolls.

Fast forward to present day and you are still likely to find me looking for a bargain.

This is exactly what happened when I found a little treasure shop in Wollongong called The Classy Closet and left with a few pieces …

I found this gorgeous turquoise dress – a piece from the 1960s, that was as immaculate as it was fifty years ago.

I love the shape of the tulip skirt and the attached scarf that just lifts the whole look.

This medium weight dress with long sleeves is ideal for an Australian winter as it’s not too hot.

I paired it with my cropped leather biker style jacket which gave it a bit of an edge, my turquoise tights, and low heeled teal shoes and as it was a bit chilly I added my fur trimmed gloves.

I feel really good about contributing less to the world’s waste and being able to breathe new life into what was a beautiful, quality item of clothing …

Thank you for taking the time to visit my little corner of the web,
